When you send your writing during a contest to Merlyn's Pen, you'll receive illustrated "tracking" updates like the one below so you can follow your submission as it circulates among editors. As your piece moves along, the "tracking rocket" moves closer to the moon. Email updates notify you each time the rocket advances.
